They're Not Going To Sew Themselves

Yesterday the diaper fabric came. There's no turning back, it cost Anna and I $300. Somehow it's going to turn into 60 cloth diapers. Sounds like a good keep-yourself-busy-during-General Conference activity to me. Wish us luck. I'm inexperienced and poor Anna can't do it all.

So when I read your previous post about Eli's new cute little Diaper you made I was curious about it..and now with the fabric picture you posted I am even more intrigued. How do you re-use them? How do you keep them fresh, etc? I personally don't know anyone who uses a cloth diaper, but I think I might like to on day...

You just put them in the washing mahine, one mom just puts a squirt of original blue dawn dish soap and it works. They say to switch out detergents in case the bacteria build up immunities.
no bleach, it breaks down fibers over time, espcially with how often you wash, and no dryer sheets or fabric softeners because they get on the inner absorbant layer and kind of put a shield on it, making it repel rather than absorb. I hear that's about it. If you still have problems, then you hang them out in the sun.
